VENUE
The Workshop will be held at the Istituto Geografico Militare (IGM), Via Cesare
Battisti, 10, Firenze.
The Military Geographic Institute occupies most of the former convent of the Santissima Annunziata. It is responsible for the mapping of the Italian State and has outstanding equipment that makes it one of the most advanced in Italy. It carries out work in geodesy, topography and cartography.

A welcome cocktail will be offered at the conference site. This will be a unique occasion for visiting the historical building of the Military Geographic Institute and learn about its origin and history.
Visit of Casa Martelli Museum – Via Ferdinando Zannetti, 8, Firenze
17 December 2013 – 19:00-20:00
Casa Martelli is a unique house-museum created by the Martelli noble family for centuries, not as the result of arbitrary rebuilding and replenishing but derived from the stratification of the secular life of one of the oldest families in Firenze.
Gala dinner – Via Ferdinando Zannetti, 8, Firenze 17 December 2013 – 20:30
A dinner with music entertainment will be offered to participants inside Casa Martelli.

The MAVEBA
Workshop registration fee includes: attendance of the 3-day conference;
conference proceedings and materials; welcome cocktail; museum visit; gala
